On my last visit, I had a squeaky serpentine belt. I took it in very late in the day (4:30) and they still had time to diagnose the problem and set up an appointment to get it fixed. (I have been doing business at Sid Dillon Nissan for ten years now. During that time, I have bought or leased several cars. Also during this time, I have gotten all of my work done on all of my cars at Sid Dillon. To put it a different way, I have gotten every oil change, battery, tire, wiper blade, etc at Sid Dillon. I have ALL of my work done here because I get treated so well here.
I won't take my cars anyplace else, I won't buy a car anywhere else. This is all a direct result of the treatment that I have consistently gotten at Sid Dillon Nissan. This is the kind of place I tell my friends about because you can absolutely trust them. THANK YOU, JOE BOWMAN and staff.).
Searched for months for an honest new VW Dealer. Finally, through TrueCar.com, found Paramount.
Listed w/TC and found Parker Grove @ Paramount. Same day as contact, they delivered exactly for which I was looking. No charge for delivery (100+ miles?), and discounted vehicle $5000. A distance transaction with (understandably) difficult logistics, paperwork, but well worth the search. This model is being disconntinued for 2018, and difficult to find.
Had the vehicle 2 days, but only driven 7 miles (raining) and working. Hey, Parker, where do I mount the front license plate.Virgina requires them! Only minor problem so far with the car.I'm sure there is a resolution. Thank you, Parker. I'm a Vietnam Era veteran, and 28+ years sworn policed officer, retired (working easier work as security).
I love German engineering. I pray all the reviews of this car are nearly true. I'm still driving a '99 Jetta TDI (110,000 miles) that gets locally 48-50 mpg.tire pressure needs checked and Marvel Mystery Oil needs to be used again.) Awesome performance, with tweaks needed now & then. Again, Thank You, Parker.
Recently went in because my son referred me here he told me that the guys here work hard to get customers into a vehicle and that i would likely leave with a car. I spoke with a young man named Jonathan but they called him pachy, and let me tell you he was extremely helpful he made the process simple and presented me with a lot of options and tried to make sure i was getting the best deal.
Unfortunately my credit/financial ability kept me from making purchase but I appreciate the efforts of Pachy and the supporting staff. If your in the area and looking to capitalize on a good deal and a friendly, cooperative staff don't over look auto fair ford in Haverhill. Ask for pachy even im sure he can help you. Bianco Auto Sales has an excellent selection of automobiles, but so do lots of car dealers.
What really sets Bianco apart is their customer service, their trustworthiness and their loyalty. When it comes to buying a used car, those are by far the most important factors, and nobody comes close to matching Bianco on any of them.
In 2014 I bought a 2000 Ford Expedition from Ed at Bianco. It was a great car at a great price, and I never had any problems with it until about a month ago. When I was getting the car inspected, the mechanic informed me that the way the brake lines were routed was potentially problematic.
The Mazda CX-7 from Consumer Reports including major redesigns, pricing. We found the turbo CX-7 delivered ample midrange power, but there was a. I hadn't had any work done on the car since I purchased it, so I knew that it must have been that way when I purchased it. My mechanic told me it would cost about $600 to fix the problem. I called Ed at Bianco and explained the situation, and he seemed legitimately concerned about what I was telling him.
He said he would need to talk to the owner (Frank), but that they would see if they could help me out. Over the next couple days Ed was unable to circle up with Frank about my issue, but Ed called me at least once a day to assure me that he hadn't forgotten about me, and that he would raise it with Frank as soon as he could. This was both extremely comforting and quite surprising, because it reflects a rarely seen level of caring and dedication. After Ed spoke with Frank, they decided I should bring the car to their facility so they could better understand the problem. I resisted somewhat because it's a bit of a drive to Stamford, and I didn't want to drive all that way to find out they weren't going to help me.
Ed assured me that they would do the right thing, and because he seemed (and is, as it turns out) a trustworthy and stand-up guy, I agreed. After quickly looking at the brake lines they agreed that there was an issue, but said they would need to put the car on the lift and remove the wheels to understand how serious it was. It was Good Friday and the mechanics were leaving early, so they asked me to leave the car for the night and I agreed. As I waited for my wife to pick me up, the staff could not have been nicer. While I waited they offered me a beverage, and the use of a desk and computer that were unoccupied that day. And keep in mind, at this point the staff knew I wasn't there to buy a car, so it's not like they were trying to close a sale.
They are just good, nice, helpful people. The next morning, Ed called to say it would cost about $450 including parts and labors. He also told me that Bianco would cover the entire cost. This was, of course, amazing news, and further confirmed what was becoming obvious: that Ed, Frank, and Bianco Auto Sales in general are in a league of their own when it comes to customer service. Ed noted, however, that there was a catch: it was possible that in the course of the repair, the calipers might break. If that happened, they were hoping I would be willing to help cover the cost of replacing them.
He said that at most, they would ask me to cover $100. Honestly, I fully expected that they'd hit me with that $100 charge. Even though it was his day off, Ed called me the next day to let me know the repairs were done, that I could pick up the car at any time, and that I didn't owe them a cent. To say that I was impressed by the experience would be an understatement. Every step of the way - from the little things (like going out of their way to keep me updated) to the big things (like paying for the repair out of their own pocket), Bianco went far above and beyond. I would strongly recommend them to anybody who needs a car. You can find a car anywhere, but you're not going to find that level of customer service, trustworthiness and loyalty anywhere but Bianco.
I came in at around 10:00 am, WITHOUT an appointment, to have a recall done on my 2016 Jeep Grand Cherokee, arriving after the usual busy early morning rush. It was no problem without the appointment, and they had me in-and-out in less than an hour, which is fantastic! Even at that time of the morning the service drive was spotless, as is the whole store!!! Phillip Evdos was my Service Adviser. He was very courteous, efficient, and knowledgeable as to what I needed done.
After the work was preformed, the Service Manager Justin Bantock even took a moment out of his usual busy day to introduce himself, wanting to make sure I was happy and that my visit was satisfactory. They are obviously interested in customer service at this Autonation Jeep Store. Needless to say, I will continue to give this store my business. I bought this car from a dealership 8 months ago. This is my second SUV. I had a Saturn SUV beforehand.
This car is definitely a step up from my Saturn. It's bigger, has more options, better fuel milage, good on insurance, etc.Maintaining this vehicle has not been an issue.
A light bulb here, a light bulb there, tie rod, stabilizer links, alignment, rotations, oil changes, co2 sensor, spark plugs. $600.00 for maintenance in 8 months is not bad at all. Mazda Canada had a recall on the suspension and the airbags right after I bought it.
The Mazda dealership here took care of it promptly. The recall is nothing to worry about as long as you get the repair work done and it's free too so it's not bad really. This car is super reliable and the turbo charger adds a nice economic boost. The car still gets compliments despite its age. The body and interior is in mint condition as well. I love this car and I know it'll serve me well for the next several years. I'm on top of everything this car needs or wants.

Driving this car is a breeze. City and highway it does it all efficiently. Mazda you made a decent SUV. Too bad you opted for the CX-5. I recommend this as a used SUV option! I have been doing business with Broadway for over 35 years.
I remember Jim Cuene coming out to shake my hand when I picked up my vehicle. I have to say that I was more than a little disappointed when I purchased a pre-owned Ford Explorer from Broadway on Ashland in January 2915. While it had over 120,000 miles on it, I was assured the vehicle would be reliable. During only my second oil change last week I was told it would need $1,000+ in repairs. I probably only returned to Broadway because I had a friend who was a sales associate at the Military site. His name is Ken Yahnke. He did a tremendous job, unlike the previous high pressure guy I had last winter.
Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would be leaving Broadway last Thursday (June 9th) with a new Hyundai. I have never bought a foreign car in my life, swore I never would, but there is one in my garage right now.
I admit to feeling guilty buying a Korean Automobile. Fingers crossed! In the end, another vehicle purchased at Broadway! One more thing.
I have always done business with the Ashland site. I was set up to have a Ashland site service associate. Then I was told last week I would need to have any service work needed to be done at the Military Ford location. Ashland only 'worked on Chevys.' I recently purchased a 2013 Ford Fusion from Robert Mcfadden at Bergey's. I have been in the automotive business over 30 years and my biggest challenge is finding a dealer and salesman I am comfortable with and feeling that there are dealing with me in an honest way.
From the first inquiry which happen to be on Roberts day off (he responded to me and gave me his cell phone number), he made me feel comfortable and that he was at the least being truthful with me. After several Email communication we spoke and I made the 75 mile trip to his dealership. I was not disappointed and I purchased the car that night and returned 2 days later to take delivery of it. Having been in the business so long I usually see through things quickly and leave, if they can even get me to sit down! Know that you can feel comfortable and trust them with your purchase. Thank you Robert Mcfadden and Bergey's Ford. My husband and I had a wonderful experience at Honda of Olathe purchasing our new 2019 Odyssey Minivan.
Our amazing sales person was Tim Tilghman and we really appreciated all of the effort and time he spent with us. Tim was very informative on all the new features that the Odyssey had to offer our family and was always very responsive to our questions and phone calls. He was helpful in every way possible along our decision making process.
This was our 4th car that we purchased from Olathe Dealership - but first car with 'Honda of Olathe' (the previous 3 were from Frank Ancona) and we were very impressed with their process - very smooth and easy. I can't speak highly enough about how great we feel about our new Odyssey and how grateful we are to Tim and the 'Honda of Olathe' team.
I've only had this vehicle for a week but I absolutely love it so far! It's the perfect size for my active outdoor lifestyle. The gas mileage is great and it purrs like a kitten.
It has enough engine power to go 80 on the highway with ease, but is also nice and quiet. I feel safe when I'm behind the wheel of this vehicle and I've heard nothing but great things about Mazdas. The only down side wit my purchase is that all 4 passenger arm rests connected to the doors have all lost their upolstry. For only being 8 years old that seems odd, but is definitely not a deal breaker. I'd takeep reliability over cosmetics any day of the week.
I highly recommend this vehicle. Jake, the GM Brycen, and Tim were great! I came in to test drive the 2018 Mazda CX-5 and fell in love with it. Jake took the time to show me all of the bells and whistles for it. He was quick to respond via text with any additional follow-up questions I had after the test drive.
I was able to bring in my son???s car seat to make sure there was sufficient leg room (there was). My wife test drove it with Tim and felt the same way I did so we made the purchase. I definitely recommend Walser Mazda in Burnsville for anyone looking for straight forward pricing without uncomfortable sales pressure. I also received good value for my trade in. Thank you Jake and the entire staff at Walser Mazda! I love the sporty look and feel of this SUV. The non-turbo 4 cylinder has plenty of pep but is still economical.
Our SV model is the entry level trim, but it still has a great sounding stereo system and Bluetooth audio, so no need to plug in your phone with a USB or phone jack cable, just pair it and select the Aux mode and you’re done. From an interior space perspective, it’s perfect for a small family or in our case for hauling around the grand kids, plus there’s plenty of room for luggage.
According to the calls coming in, Mazda CX 7 and CX 9 drivers appear to be having turbo (turbocharger) and engine problems, and to make matters even worse, the manufacturer is trying to point the finger back at the consumer. Our clients have experienced a number of, including illuminated engine warning lights, oil burning, excessive smoke from the tailpipe and/or a foul odor (especially during a cold start). Many are having repeat failures with their Mazda turbocharger being replaced numerous times.
Others are reporting oil consumption problems and severe engine noise.Even when under warranty, Mazda dealers are asking consumers to present all oil change and service receipts prior to service to confirm they are maintaining the vehicle according to warranty prior to fixing any Mazda turbocharger problem. Failure to produce proof of service could result in Mazda denying warranty coverage. Kimmel and Silverman Founding Partner, Lemon Law Attorney has seen this in many of the cases he has handled and feels this type of conduct is outrageous and a clear breach of warranty. We are also seeing Mazda dealers fail to properly include the customer’s complaints on the repair orders in an attempt to “cover up” the turbocharger issue. As we have reported before, every time you take your car in for repair, it is essential that you receive a repair invoice which outlines the problem and the dealer’s fix.
Keep these invoices in a safe place, along with oil change and service receipts. You never know when you are going to need to provide proof of service. If you are having Mazda turbocharger or engine problems, it is important for you to fight for your.
If your Mazda turbocharger or engine problems results in your car being in the shop repeatedly or for an extended period of time, or if you are being denied warranty coverage, to find out about your rights under State Lemon Laws and Federal Warranty Statutes. The only thing you have to lose is your Lemon.

I might not be the best candidate, as I didn’t keep any records of my oil changes. I only had it serviced once by a professional, and the others were done by me. But, at the end of the day, my car’s engine blew at 105K. I assume these isn’t much I can do but, according to the dealership, the VVT (known issues) failed and caused the chain to slip which caused the loss of compression.Ashley says:My turbocharger failed at 18000kms!.tracy russell says:I have thrown a rod at less than 55k. I have most of my records but not all. They are fighting us every step of the way.
Since I have purchased my cx7 in May of 08. I have had my ac compressor changed twice, VVT replaced and now this. If I have all records except for year 2011 shouldn’t that be enough?.Belinda Knight says:my cx 7 is a 2008 and my car is in the shop as i type this today. 38,000miles on the car.
The dealer is replacing the turbo. As I read all the complaints, i must say that this car is a nothing but a pile of junk. What is the next step of getting help related to this car. says:@Bellinda: You need to reach out to a lemon law lawyer. Visit to find one in your state.Tracy says:After a lot of leg work Mazda replaced mine. Not to crazy about having a rebuilt but i figured it cant be any worse than the original one. It took 3 weeks to get it back but seems to more power.
The scary part is warranty only good for 8 months.Jim says:My 2007 CX-7 has roughly 160k on it. It smokes badly when you try to accelerate quickly (floor it). In the first year I had it, the dealer did all of the maintenance since I had the insurance coverage for maintenance.
They replaced the turbo, motor mounts, A/C (twice), an various other parts. I had an issue, once with my Bose system radio/CD changer on/off button. The dealer told me it was an easy fix and they would only charge me $25 to do it.
When I got the car back, the satellite radio no longer worked and the CD player no longer worked (with CDs stuck in it). I took it back and was told that they couldn’t have caused the issue and it would be $700 to fix it. After I complained vehemently, they reduced the price to $250. That was the last time I took it to a dealer.
I wrote many letters to Mazda with no resolution. I even called the dealership and was put on hold for an hour before someone just hung up on me. My CD player/changer still doesn’t work.
They also did all the oil changes for the first 20k. Last year, I got a letter stating that there was a recall, for what I can’t remember, it may have been brakes or drive train related. I called Mazda to set up a time to have it addressed. I was told that since my car has so many miles on it, it was not covered and if I wanted the recall addressed, I would have to pay. This car has been a piece of crap since I’ve gotten it.Marisa says:My engine light came on in my 2007 CX7took my car to the dealership on Sept 9th 2103 2 months later, I still don’t have a car. Turbocharger/ Engine are shot. I purchased an extended Warranty in 2010 when I purchased the car for $2,500.
Only for them to refuse to pay for the damage to my turbo/engine. Can you guess why they denied my claim? Yup Negligence on my end. Due to lack of maintenance/oil changes.
They say that the excessive sludge in my engine is my fault, and I need to produce 3yrs worth of proof of oil changes. Yea Let me ask my husband for those receipts. We appealed the Warranty co’s decision. And was denied again. The past two months have been Hell. And it’s absolutely ridiculous that Mazda isn’t owning up to the fact that they have a malfunction in their CX7 Engine’s.Heather says:Yes!
Add me to that! I am getting ready to pick up my car from the shop.gettings it’s 2nd turbo replacement!
I have 104k on it. I have oil records though but, by the time they extended the warranty I was just outside the mark. My mechanic just told me that it might be a good time to look at getting rid of it! I would LOVE to get in on a lawsuit against Mazda. I should have pushed further the first time I took it in and asked about the pinging in the engine years ago.the response from the dealershp was “They all sound like that!”.Jeff oakley says:Had the 70 mile check up Had to point out to them to replace the stretched timing belt which I had asked them to check twice already. Asked them to check everything that the warranty covered. They said they did and everything was fine.
Come to find out they didn’t replace the turbo sensor relay or several other things that are included in this check up. Oh and did I mention once I started taking it to the dealership for oil changes I had to go back each time to get something they failed to put back in or on. Like 4 of the 5 or 6 bolts that hold the skid plate on. Anyway, I have their paperwork showing everything was fine. Around 4-6k miles later the turbo went out. This was a minor noise I had questioned 3-4 times already. Now they have had it over a month and they still haven’t returned my last 6 messages.I can show a trend of incompetence at the local dealership.Only now its at the Irvine office and I’m waiting.
I want a replacement, compensation for 4 weeks of inconvience and I just got on disability and the stress is making several of my des eases flare up more frequently.I bought it used Called the local dealership to let them know u had it so any recall or issue notices could be sent to me.I was getting ready to trade it for a new 6 model but, after this customer service I will never own another and u am going to spead the word as much as possible. This is a serious mechanical issue that should have been a recall not a 5k mile warranty extension. Not toy mention what percentage if customers have been notified that thus vehicle needs to be parked and run for 4 minutes prior to turning it off. It’s my understanding this is the only way to have a chance at the issue not burning up the turbo. This is gross negligence and they have misrepresented their vehiclePLEASE HELP.Barbara Butler says:Replaced turbo 6 months ago, car sounds horrible.
Oil leaks, told roughly 1200 to fix as the entire engine needs to be lifted. Not to mention the poor quality paint.Meg Munson says:Bought my 2007 CX-7 used in 2011 with 84,000 miles on it.
Time chain assembly was to have been replaced prior to my purchasing the vehicle, as it was the first thing I heard on my test drive. Sales person told me “Thats what an engine sounds like, hun” as I had my head stuck in the engine compartment. My response was not pretty.I drove it without issue for 2 years, and I now have 135,000 miles on it.
Just before Thanksgiving 2013, guess what goes? The timing chain assembly. I took it to the Honda dealer I had purchased it from, and they promptly had it towed to Mazda, stating they “didn’t want to open a can of worms”. Great. So, Mazda dealer comes into play. They replace my timing chain assembly to the tune of just over $1,000. I should be good, right?Wrong.Car dies the day after I pick it up. Thank goodness it died at work in my parking lot.
AAA is able to get it jumped. Mazda tests my battery and its “just fine – just needs a good charge.”Right.Next evening on my way home from work, notice my headlights are flickering.
I brought it directly to Mazda. They replace the battery this time. $150.Two weeks go by, I’m feeling pretty good.
We’re getting ready for a 600 mile treck north for Thanksgiving with the family. My turbo blows. Luckily I was right down the road from the Mazda dealer when it happened. Service managers face was priceless when I drove it into the garage. Turbo replaced. Just over $3,000.
Anyone else keeping track of this? Because I am, as I watch the money bleed out of my account. And all of this while trying to recover after being out of work for a year. That brings me to today. I brought my car in for an oil change and to have the check engine light checked out. Turns out, the thermostat was bad. Ok, I said – replace it. Cheapest fix (other than the battery) so far!
I can do that.I pick my car up tonight. Drive about five minutes down the road and notice I have no heat. So I turn around, ready to bring it back in and kindly request that they check my car out first thing in the morning. As I’m heading back to the dealership, the car overheats. It wasn’t doing that before! I was not kind when I went back in.
This vehicle has been nothing but heartache and trouble for the last three months, and has drained my finances. I’m not in the position to replace it, unfortunately and I’m feeling a bit stuck to say the least.I have a loaner (very cute CX5 that they couldn’t say enough nice things about until I reminded them that it was still a Mazda), but I am at my wits end.
Are there any paths for those of us who purchased one of these vehicles used?.T Burroughs says:Bought my 2007 CX7 new in Oct 2006. Absolutely loved it.then starting hearing the ticking noise in the engine on cold starts around 56K. Went to the Mazda Forum and read up on all the complaints and nightmares with the turbo, VVT and sludge. Then I had an “uh oh” moment.maybe mine is about to go, too. Also read, just this week, that the 2007 CX7 Turbo was #1 on the WORST used car list at wholesale auctions as the majority of them have engine problems. Did some further checking and read that Mazda is blaming the customers whose engines have blown even though the customers provided maintenance records from Mazda dealerships. The extended warranty, from what I understand, is useless in these cases.
I also spoke to a friend that owns an independent shop who was a former Mazda service manager.he suggested to get rid of it while I can. I was thinking about a CX9 to replace it, but after hearing of all the nightmares with Mazda warranty, I traded it just this week with a competitor.
They gave me $7500 for my CX7 which is near what some customers are quoted for engine replacement. I loved my CX7.but didn’t want to get stuck with ridiculous repair bills even though I had another year on my extended warranty. Mazda you lost a customer. Shame on you for not taking care of your CX7 owners.
I’m glad I dumped mine while I had the chance.Kathy Butler says:My 2007 CX-7 had all of the problems above. We HAD all of our oil changed but a couple done AT THE Dealership where we purchased the carbut because I didn’t get my oil changed exactly at 3K miles every time, they refused to make good on the smoking tail pipe issuebecause it was ‘out of warrany’ by a couple of thousand miles EVEN though they serviced the car every time and should have watched for those issues. I paid out of pocket for that repairNOWlast night the turbo went completely out in the car.It has 116,000 miles and we have taken very good care of it.This issue with the turbo needs to be a recall on the 2007!! I love the car and in fact, bought a 2012 CX-7 too. NowI wonder if that issue was fixed or if it’s just a matter of time for that car too.Anyone get any help from the Lemon Law people?.sergio moura says:Well, dear friends, despite being very sorry about the problems you all are having, I have reasons to be happy.I was in love with a used but as good as new 2008 cx7. After reading all of the above complains, I’m completely dispointed about Mazda, so that’s not acceptable in such a brand.I wish the best luch for all of you guys.Tricia says:I own the 2007 Mazda CX7, purchased it in Feb 2008.
Mine was the showroom model car and it has been nothing but trouble for me for the past year. I am on my 2nd air conditioning compressor, and Mazda will not honor the letter they sent me in 2010 for replacement. The first compressor went up in May 2013, 2nd just replaced May 2014. Have had to replace the ignition coils for multiple random mis-fire’s.
Now for the past 2 weeks nothing but white smoke coming from tail pipes when I drive. After reading everything on this list I am hopeful to get this car out of the shop for the 5th and final time in 4 weeks and take it right to the dealer for a trade. I loved this car, but it has become an unreliable vehicle. All maintenance work was done by the dealer up until 2 years ago, now I take it to my local trusted mechanic. I have all my receipts for oil changes and services.
Just fed up with the issues.cherish Batts says:I have a 2007 CX7. I have had the air conditioner compressor changed out twice. This is the 3rd Turbo and I got it back from the Mazda dealer and the next day my check engine light was back on.
Took it back and they said it needed a system upgrade. Got it back and the next day the check engine was back on. Now they say I need a new engine and provide all my oil changes; which I did three weeks ago with the 3rd turbo being replaced. This is ridiculous. I have 89,000 and it expires in Aug or 95,000.tegan says:Hey I’m about to buy a Mazda cx7 2008 has anyone had problems with the mazda cx7 2008 models being a single mum I need to know before I waste my money.Ang says:I had a 2007 Mazda CX-7.
I got rid of it in 2011 when it only had 33k on it. It was constantly in the shop, always having loss of power, had smoke constantly blowing from the tail pipe, we called it our own smoke screen. No matter how often we took it to the dealership they NEVER found anything wrong with it. They could never “reproduce” the problem. I think once they blamed the place who did the oil a month before and they replaced the O2 sensor a few times.
They always swore they was no engine or turbo issues. However it got around great im the snow, other then that it was the biggest piece of junk I ever owned. I will Never buy another Mazda.Tommy says:So, we have a 2007 cx7 grand touring.approx. We had the timing chain replaced, and had 2 turbo replacements.
The CEL light was on and we had the dealer check it recently when we took it in for the recall for the emissions. We were told the CEL was because it had “low oil pressure” and that we needed to “replace the engine”. Talked with a few other people in the know. So, we then went to Auto Zone and purchased a approx. $11 bottle of Seafoam. Put 1/2 in where you put the oil in and the other 1/2 in the gas tank.within a day.no more CEL light and runs like new!
Were told that a screen had probably gotten gunked up (due to the engine issues, etc) and the seafoam cleaned it off and sealed up anything else that might have been there. This is now (thankfully) and extra car in our family that we don’t have to rely on but, it is paid for and we are happy that it seems to be working right again.
Might be worth a try for others of you.Chris C says:Purchased a 2010 Mazda CX-7 Turbo in 2012. Turbocharger just went out at 81,000+ miles. I did all my own oil changes and will find out tomorrow if Max Care warranty will cover.Cheri M says:I have a 2007 CX-7 that I bought from Mazda. The timing chain has already been replaced about 2 years ago, and I now have smoke coming from the tailpipe, and the check engine light is on, which won’t pass emissions here in TN. I took it to Mazda today only to be told that the turbo needs to be replaced! I bought the automobile with maybe about 42,000 and now have 127,000.
So today I paid them $128 to do NOTHING but tell me I need to spend another $3000 OH, they did try to get me to talk to a salesperson! NO THANK YOU MAZDA!!!!.Angie says:Same story Single mom of 3 boys. Just recovering from surgery and find out I need to replace the Turbo charge on my Mazda CX-7. I still owe $10,000 on it. Wish I never bought this car.Mary says:I brought an cx7 2008 in May of 08 my car is now with the smoke at 29,000 miles and every time I take it in they can’t find anything wrong it’s so depressing when people flAging u down because it’s that much smoke for them to tell me nothing’s wrong I haven’t kept none of my oil change and service receipts it’s sad that we are going through this and at this time I can’t afford no repairs recently lost my job and I been reading 5 and 10 thousand dollars I need help what can I do.Katilyn says:Same story here. Brought my 2009 cx-7 in to the dealership 3 separate times due to smoke from the exaust. Was told each time that they couldn’t reproduce the problem and had no clue what it could be.
The last time they even told me that because I do my own oil changes and they aren’t “documented” that they would have to change my oil before proceeding after which they again told me that they couldn’t reproduce the problem. 2 days ago my oil was due to be changed again so I figured id have them look at it yet again and to everyone’s shock “a large amount of smoke was coming from my engine and oh yeah now it’s knocking too.” I was furious that these problems had not been brought up to me until I personally looked into forums and posts such as these to discover the problem. I am now told I need a new engine that it is too far gone to try to fix with a vent kit. I bought this vehicle brand new in 2009 upon returning from a deployment to Afghanistan with the idea that it would last me through college.
I guess that was a false hope. 5 year old car with 80,000 miles needs a new engine?! Simply crazy to me. If anyone has any advice id appreciate it. It’s a shame mazda is acting this way.
Was a huge fan As of now will never purchase a mazda again and I’ll be sure to let as many people as possible know how irresponsible they are as a corporation.Econdude says:2007 Mazda CX-7 – at 57,000 timing chain broke, Mazda did NOT stand by warranty, they wanted $9010 for new engine, had engine rebuilt for $4200, at 67000 turbo failed under warranty, Mazda did NOT honor warrantythey claimed they found sludge in engine, even though it was pristine after rebuild and we have changed oil 5 times (full synthetic) in last 10000 miles. I do not feel Mazda was honest. I’m in on a class action suit against them.Roger says:Has anyone had success in their quest for Mazda to replace the turbo at 80,000? Right on cue my daughter, a single mom, bought a used 2010 CX-7 in 2012 to have more room for her baby. Coming back from the hospital this week, her turbo went out. After reading the comments, this is ridiculous!
Any word on a class action suit started?.David says:I have a 2011 mazda CX 7. At 30,000 miles it starts reving up in park to 5000 RPM.
They told me my throttle body was dirty. I told them no thats not the issue because it only does it in park. They reprogramed it and it lasted for 20,000 miles again. This past week sitting in the drive way waiting on the kids it reved up to 5000 RPM. Time and time again. I cleaned the trottle body this time.
There was no build up. I checked for vacuum leaks as it was reving up nothing. I’m at a lose. There for mazda tryed to give me the run around again thelling me its my fault that the throttle body was dirty and how the system works.
I got news for them. I have pictures before and after i cleaned it. Mazda is not helpful in any way. Ov course im paying for all of this.Rob Corcoran says:Mazda CX7 had to replace engine now Turbo is going out.Lindsay Smith says:2007 Mazda grand touring cx7 with 86500 miles on it and the Turbo just blew yesterday.
I’ve taken good care of the car but the $3500+ to fix everything wrong with it turns me completely upside down it. This is just enraging. Of course I’m supposed to be moving next week just to ice this cake I was hoping Mazda would work with me but after reading through various forums it doesn’t sound like I should be too optimistic.Olga says:Same story here left on foot with no car.mom of 3 and I work,it is so much fun trying to get to and from work without a car. I live in Florida and public transportation is not fun.I have a 2007 Mazda cx7 and once again the turbo has failed. I have only had this car for 1 year and 2 months worst car I have ever invested in.mind you I just replaced an oil leak a few months ago that cost me $580 and just replaced the compressor 3 weeks ago $760.00 and I still owe money on this car. Mazda has to do something about this this is unexceptable. They need to admit that this is a LEMON car.Christopher Wrobel says:I bought Mazda CX-7’07 in 2014.
It had 82k miles and the turbo and the timing chain replaced. The previous owner spent over $3k for that repair. I thought I would have a good car for another 100k miles. Unfortunately, after 10 k miles the engine started vibrating and the Mazda dealer said the timing belt was stretched and replaced it.
Since that I realized the engine was nat manufactured well and should be recalled. I started to measure oil level every 100 miles and noticed that the engine burns more oil that normal. I hope there is an attorney who will take Mazda to court.Cristina Hernandez says:Hello –I own a 2008 Mazda CX7. I have had numerous expenses as well on my car. I had my AC replace on warranty because it went out on a trip and then continuous problems with the check engine light on b/c of the ERG valve, and then the thermostat went out and had to replace that.
Now I have compression issues with the Turbo engine, and now they are looking at the VVT valve to see if it’s that. I just finished paying off the car and it’s not at 100,000 miles yet, but I have a precertified vehicle and Jim Ellis Mazda is currently looking at it today. If they can’t fix anything under warranty what should I do?
Please help, I don’t want to put anymore money into this car, it’s cost me a fortune.Thank you, Cristina.Cristina Hernandez says:By the way – I was also told that I had a $2800 repair to replace my turbo engine as well.Roger Spawn says:I didn’t do my research before buying a 2007 Mazda CX7 and after my test drive from my used car dealer the P0012 CEL came on. I took it by Mazda and they told me that the timing chain, VVT and other timing devices needed replaced. I contacted my dealer and they use Firestone to do their work. The mechanic they had do it did it by the book and they found the issues online for me. I’ve had the car since May 22, 2014 started with 111K on it and now it has 120K and been fixed once and then 2 days before Christmas 2014 the car started making noises. Since the car was fixed within 2 months of purchase and paid for parts and I paid $275 labor.
Now I had my mechanic look at it for me and it’s not only the CEL P0012 still and it never went off but I’ve talked to Firestone and dealer many times and even without threatening to take the dealer to court did I get any response for them to look it over again at of course Firestone who did the work. My mechanic gave me a statement on the issues and the turbo is whining and now I find this site. I hope the dealer will uphold the original contract with the “check engine light” and the knowledge of this site will trade/swap my car out with me.Jerome O'Connell says:FORD MADE THE ENGINE!!!!!!!!!!!My 2007 CX 7 Grand Touring Mazda which I bought at CarMax with only 2000 miles on it in August of 2007 ONLY has 56,500 miles as of today, December 30, 2014 and is UNDRIVEABLE according to Carmax who gave me this “wonderful” news when I took it there to sell it on December 26, 2014. They offered $4000 for the car, $2000 less than the previous month. I slowly drove back home praying all the way that the values and rods would not break and cost me several thousand more dollars on top of the $2000 estimate. One month ago, I took this car to Finger Mazda in Greenville to have two software issues done which was covered by Mazda. I have an inspection check off list from that Mazda dealership which says I need new rear brakes and rear tires.EVERYTHING ELSE WAS OKAY including the ENGINE.
That same day, I decided to go to Carmax down the road to see what they would give me for the car. They said $6000 and NO ENGINE issues were discussed. Knowing that this car was a ticking time bomb, I made arrangements for someone to follow me to Greenville and give me a ride home before the Carmax 1 week offer expired. I KNEW I had to take that enormous LOSS because of the problems CX 7 owners have documented and the behavior of Mazda toward the owners.I live 70 miles away from Greenville. Unfortunately, my ride home cancelled on me at the last minute, and I could not make other arrangements before the one week $6000 offer expired.
That is a low bid for the car under any circumstances. On December 26, 2014 I took the car to Carmax one month later which was last week. Now Carmax says the engine is broken and not to even RISK driving it off their lot!!
They offered me $4000. I just learned that it will cost me $1400 to $2000 to have the timing chain issue fixed.
The Carmax appraiser did say that if I got it fixed they would give me the $6000. I thought that was mighty generous of them.?? Spend $2000 and now get $6000 for the car. What a nice guy!!Thank you Carmax.
I paid more for the car when I bought it from them because of their “125 point inspection” took out the risk of buying a LEMON!!!!!! And now Carmax does not want to touch this car with a TEN FOOT POLE. I do not have to tell you where that “pole” is sticking today.
Bend over Carmax and Mazda owners.56,500 miles on a car I now own outright which I BOUGHT from Carmax and financed through them. They owned the car until last year. I was the registered driver and got the title mailed to me after my last payment from Carmax.Mazda says they mailed me the bulletins.
I never got them because mail is NOT delivered to my house and the DMV does not have my p.o. And besides, legally, Carmax finance owned the car. You would think that EVERYONE would have been notified. However, in reading about the excuses Mazda makes up for not honoring that extended warranty, I seriously doubt that they would have paid a dime.I am totally in for any class action lawsuits.I do not use the a/c because I live in the mountains at 3500ft so that may not be working either. I did notice that when XM was offering free broadcast for a week that I could not receive any signal.
So far the turbo seems to be working except.well.I cannot drive the car. So there is sits in my driveway.
